Requirements for the "Business Manager" Visa
Condition 1: Secure a Dedicated Office Space
You must secure an office intended for business activities. Since the lease agreement must be submitted with the application, you must obtain prior consent from the landlord to use the property for business purposes.

Rental Offices: May be accepted depending on specific conditions.

Not Permitted: Coworking spaces, virtual offices, and home offices (combined residence/office) are generally not accepted under the new standards.
Condition 2: Employ One Full-Time Staff Member
You must employ at least one full-time staff member who falls into one of the following categories:

a. A Japanese national.

b. A foreign national with one of the following statuses: "Permanent Resident," "Spouse or Child of Japanese National," "Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident," or "Long-Term Resident."
Condition 3: Capital Contribution of 30 Million Yen
A capital investment of 30 million yen is required for the company you intend to manage.
Condition 4: Academic Background or Practical Experience
You must meet at least one of the following criteria:

a. Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree (PhD) in a field related to business management or in a technical/knowledge-based field necessary for the proposed business.

b. Have at least three years of experience in business management or administration.
Condition 5: Remuneration
If the applicant is engaged in business management, their salary must be equal to or higher than the amount a Japanese national would receive for performing the same work.
Condition 6: Japanese Language Proficiency
The applicant or a full-time employee must possess sufficient Japanese language skills. As a general guideline, JLPT N2 level or equivalent is required.
